Senior Management

Mr. Parbat Bhimji Siyani has been the Managing Director of Seyani Brothers & Co. (U) Ltd since its incorporation in 1991. He has been resident in Uganda since 1991. He was co-founder and senior partner in Seyani Brothers & Co. Ltd. in Kenya since 1978 upto 2000. He is British by nationality and has vast experience in the construction industries with both technical & management abilitiy.

Since entering into the construction industry he has been Site Manager for Starehe Boys Centre, Kabete Campus, Unga Office Block, all in Kenya, as well as assuming the administration responsibilities. Subsequently he was promoted to director In-charge responsible for Stima club, Jomo Kenyatta Library, Taveta/ Danida Project, Kolobot Apartments, Bishop Garden offices, as well as executive responsibilities of Seyani Brothers Ltd. Kenya.

In 1991 he moved to Uganda and took over the charge of Seyani Brother’s new branch in Uganda and embarked in winning & executing some of the prospective contracts there and is in charge of the executive responsibilities of the company.

Apart from his executives duties in construction business he also had an opportunity to serve the construction industry in Uganda and promote its standard by being the founder member of Uganda National Associations of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors and an executive member for six years.

Since 2001 he has also been Managing Director of M/s. Parbat Siyani Construction Ltd. In Kenya.

Mr. Nitin M. Vekariya has been Operational Director of the Seyani Brothers & Co. (U) Ltd since 2004. He is Indian by nationality and has vast experience in the construction industry with Operational & Management capabilities.

He is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate and joined the company in 1994 with 3 years of experience in construction in India.

He started with us as an assistant site agent with responsibility for supplies and purchases for the rehabilitation of Kibuli Police College, Kampala and continued this responsibility through to 1995 and the rehabilitation of Paraa Lodge, Murchison Falls, etc.

He was promoted as a Site Agent in 1995 for the rehabilitation of the Indian High Commission chancery and High Commissioners residence and continued this duty up to 1998 with the completion of the new Golf Course apartments (Phase II).

He was further promoted as an Operations Manager in 1998 commencing with the construction of new stores for the Joint Medical Stores, Kampala through to the completion of the rehabilitation of the Golden Leaves Apartments, Kampala in 2003 and commencement of the Kakira Co-generation projects in 2004,

He is now director in charge of all operational matters whilst continuing to oversee the Kakira Co-generation project and the new male hostel for Uganda Christian University, Mukono.

Mr. Arvind M. Vekariya is the Administrative Director of Seyani Brothers & Co. (U) Ltd. He is Indian by nationality and has vast experience in the construction industries with Administration & Management capabilities.

He is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate and joined the company in 1996 direct from India.

He commenced with us as an office administrator including responsibility for local and international procurement and internal account auditing.

In 2001 he transferred to our sister company in Nairobi, M/S Parbat Siyani Construction Limited as a Resident Director, where he was in charge of a number of major construction projects.

In 2004 he returned to Uganda and became contracts coordinator for Phase 2 & 3 of the new laboratories at Rakai for the Uganda Virus Research Institute and a number of other projects.

Mr. Ian Forbes is the General Manager of Seyani Brothers & Co. (U) Ltd. He is British by birth. He has responsibility for all contractual matters, maintaining and/or improving our quality standards and improving all Health & Safety matters, and marketing.

He joined the company as our new General Manager in 2004. He has been a Chartered Quantity Surveyor for 25 years and has 33 years experience in the construction industry.

He has experience in all quantity surveying functions from feasibility study to final account including finalizing and settlement of claims. He has extensive practical experience in project management, material procurement and importation, insurances and bonds, contract management including site supervision from both professional and contractual sides of the construction equation. Lastly but not least he has entrepreneurial experience of running his own company in UK for over 4 years. He has been involved in many different types of construction projects including the following:

Airports, Banks, Breweries, Embassies, Hospitals, Hotels & Conference Centres, Housing, Offices, Schools & Colleges etc.

He has considerable experience working in different countries including UK,Singapore, Nigeria, Egypt, Uganda, Seychelles and Rwanda.

He has been working in Uganda and East Africa for over 14 years.

Vishram M. Vekariya: (Site Agent). He is one of the most senior foremen in our company, He joined the company in 1994 with an experience of 20 years in construction from India, Gulf countries and Kenya. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, Implementation of work programme, coordinating with site team and consultants, monitoring quality control, and motivating site team to achieve timely progress. He had been also honored by many architects for his ability to give an existence to challenging dream projects with his skills of construction. He is presently working as a site agent dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team and consultants, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and site operations management.

Ratna Halai: (Site Agent). He joined the company in 1995 as a site foreman with an experience of 12 years in construction from India & Gulf Countries. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, implementation of work programme, coordinating with site team, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and monitoring quality control. He is presently working as a site agent dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team and consultants, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and site operations management.

Kanji D. Hirani: (Site Agent). He joined the company in 2002 as a site foreman with an experience of 17 years in constructions from India & Gulf Countries. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, implementation of work programme, coordinating with site team, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and monitoring quality control. He is presently working as a site agent dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team and consultants, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and site operations management.

Lalji V. Gondaliya: (Site Agent). He joined the company in 1995 as a site foreman with an experience of 8 years in constructions from India. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, implementation of work programme, coordinating with site team, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and monitoring quality control. He is presently working as a site agent dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team and consultants, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and site operations management.

Harji R. Varsani: (Site Agent). He joined the company in 1997 as a site foreman with an experience of 12 years in constructions from India AND Gulf Country. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, implementation of work programme, coordinating with site team, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and monitoring quality control. He is presently working as a site agent dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team and consultants, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and site operations management.

Paresh D. Gondaliya: (Site Foreman). He joined the company in 2003 as an assistant site foreman with an experience of 6 years in constructions from India and Uganda. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, implementation of work programme, and coordinating with site team. He is presently working as a site foreman dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team and consultants, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress and site operations.

Arvind G. Patel: (Site Foreman). He joined the company in 2004 as an assitant site foreman with an experience of 3 years in construction in Uganda. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, implementation of work programme, and coordinating with site team. He is presently working as a site foreman dealing with setting out, implementation of
drawings, coordinating with site team and consultants, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and site operations management

Nitin K. Bhudiya: (Site Foreman). He joined the company in 2002 as an assistant site foreman with an experience of 6 years in construction from India and Seychelles . The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, implementation of work programme, coordinating with site team, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and monitoring quality control.He is presently working as a site foreman dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress and site operations.

Ramesh G. Varsani: (Site Foreman). He joined the company in 2003 as an assistant site foreman with an experience of 4 years in constructions from India. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, monitoring structural work, implementing drawings andimplementation of work programme. He is also specialist in all types of terrazzo finishes. He is presently working as a site foreman dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress and site operations.

Manji L. Varsani: (Asst. Site Foreman). He joined the company in year 2004 as an assistant site foreman with an experience of 14 years in constructions from India and Gulf countries. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, coordinating with site team and site operations. He is presently working as an assistant site foreman, dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress, and site operations.

Manoj P. Gondaliya: (Asst. Site Foreman). He joined the company in year 2004 as an assistant site foreman with an experience of 6 years in constructions from India. The basic duties handled by him were setting out, implementing drawings, coordinating with site team and site operations. He is presently working as an assistant site foreman dealing with setting out, implementation of drawings, coordinating with site team, monitoring quality control, motivating site team to achieve timely progress and site operations.

Harish K. Siyani: (Procurement Manager). He joined the company in 2002 as an assistant procurement manager with 11 yearsexperience in supply & procurement, The basic duties handled by him were purchasing of material, monitoring timely supplyand managing the transportation department. He has work experience in the Gulf and Uganda. He is presently working as a procurement manager, dealing with procurement of material, monitoring timely supply and managing the transportation department.

Virji Naran Patel: (Workshop Manager). He joined the company in 1997 as a foreman with 15 years experience in carpentry, joinery and fabrication and pre-cast products, He has had work experience in the Gulf, UAE, and Uganda. He is presently working as a workshop manager, dealing with all types of joinery works, fabrications and erection work, monitoring production of pre-cast products, monitoring purchasing for workshop, monitoring the quality of all productions in workshop and workshop management.

Dilip M. Halai: (Plant & Equipment Manager). He is a diploma holder in motor mechanics by profession, He joined the company in 2002 with an experience of 2 years in maintenance of mechanical and transportation machineries from Kenya. He is presently working as a plant & equipment manager and is in charge of machinery maintenance and the plant department, he basically deals with maintenance of all types of machineries, vehicles, and equipment, monitors the procurement of spares and new machinery and
co-ordinates with site departments for timely supply of machinery as per their requirements.

Arvind V. Suthar: (Joinery Foreman). He joined the company in 2003 as an assistant joinery foreman with 15 years experience in carpentry and joinery, He had work experience in India and Gulf countries. He is presently working as a joinery foreman, dealing with all types of joinery and carpentry works and monitoring the production of joinery items in respect of quality.

Kalyan B. Halai: (Asst. Plant & Equipment Manager). He is a diploma holder in motor mechanics by profession, He joined the company in 2004 with 19 years experience in maintenance of mechanical and transportation machinery in India and Gulf Countries. He is currently in charge of machinery maintenance and plants departmentand deals with maintenance of all types of machineries, vehicles, and equipment.

Apeto Robert: (Fabrication Foreman). He joined the company in 1996 as an assistant foreman with 7 years experience in fabrication & erection of steel structures. He had extensive working experience in Uganda. He is presently working as a fabrication foreman, dealing with all types of fabrication & erection of heavy and light steel structures.

Murji K. Vekariya: (Fabrication Foreman). He joined the company in 2002 as an assistant foreman with 9 years experience in fabrication & erection of steel structures; He has had work experience in India and Gulf countries. He is presently working as a fabrication foreman, dealing with all types of fabrication & erection of steel structures.

Shivji K. Hirani: (Joinery Foreman). He joined the company in 1997 as an assistant site foreman with 16 years experience in carpentry, joinery, and site operations. He has had work experience in India and Gulf countries. He is presently working as a general foreman, dealing with productions of all types cement precast products , monitoring its quality and meeting the production schedules as per site requirements.
